Here is what you'll learn
How to navigate GIMP.
GIMP is a powerhouse with a very comprehensive library of tools! You don't need to know all of them for photo editing and we'll help you cut your leaning curve by showing you where to find the tools you'll need for photo editing.
Importing photos into GIMP.
There are several ways to import images and an array of file formats supported by GIMP. Learn to easily import the images you want to edit.
Rotating and cropping images.
Need to recompose your image? We'll show you the tools you'll need to rotate and crop your images.
Exposure and Color adjustments.
There are several tools that you can use to adjust the exposure, contrast and color balance of your image. We'll show you the most effective tools you can use.
Tidying up your image.
GIMP have several very effective tools to help you remove unwanted objects, dust spots and other blemishes.
Sharpening and de-noising your image.
We'll show you how to get really, really sharp images and how reduce noise caused by high ISO's
Resizing images.
Print images are resized differently to web images.
We'll explain the difference and show you how to resize them.
Exporting images for print and electronic media.
Which file type should you export your photo in?
There are a few options.
We'll show you how to export the perfect format for the purpose you intend to use the pictures for.
