Strandloper Ocean Booking Page

This page is exclusively for guest bookings from Strandloper Ocean Boutique Hotel.

Some information you might want to share with your guests that we feel will be helpful with the booking process:

Best time to book

If the booking can be made at least 48hours in advance it gives us a sufficient time to respond and put everything in place. In the event that the booking is made within 24 hours of the intended trip, we recommend that you follow it up with a phone call, to us, to ensure there is no delay in getting things organised.

As this is a photography trip we recommend early morning bookings as this will give us the best light situation and normally there is less wind on the river in the morning.

Late afternoon there will be good light as well, but confirmation of these trips will be more wind dependant.


If the client is not able to make an early morning booking we'll be glad to try and accommodate the guest at his or her preferred time.

Limited to four guests

We recommend that Private Bird Photography Boat Trips are limited to four guests to ensure that we can give clients the best of our personal attention. 

Should the guests however elect to bring more than four people on the trip there will be an additional charge of R650 per person for each person exceeding the initial four.

Once we have received your "Request to Book":

​

Once we have received your request, confirmation of the booking will depend on the following factors:
 

  • Availability of a Nature & Photo approved instructor.

  • Availability of a suitable boat.

  • Acceptable weather conditions.

 

Should we recommend that the requested date is not suitable, we will recommend an alternative date. In such a case we will confirm both the availability of the instructor, the boat, and make sure of suitable weather conditions before we make the recommendation.

 

Important legal notice:

 

We do not accept bookings for any of our events without the customer agreeing to our General Waiver of Liability. 
Please ensure that your guests have read the content and agreed to it.
