About the Event
Photographers of all levels of experience, will love experiencing the decades old relationship between fishermen and the natural world around them.
Laaiplek, on the West Coast of South Africa, is one of South Africa's most important fishing villages. Large fishing vessels are moored alongside the quays, while fishermen cast their hand nets to catch bait for the big fish. All the while seagulls, seals and herons patiently wait for the scraps that fall their way. The perfect setting for a beautiful variety of photographic subjects.
